Tamir provides support for persons with developmental disabilities in a Jewish environment and to members of the community at large.
Jewish Family Services of Ottawa (JFS) is a full service, non-sectarian agency serving residents of the greater Ottawa area – located at 2255 Carling Avenue, Suite 300. They offer more than 65 programs and services to children, youth, adults and seniors, be they individuals, couples, families or groups.
In the spirit of “Tikkun Olam,” their mission is to strengthen Jewish individual, family and communal life, and to strengthen individual, family and communal life in the greater Ottawa community. The mission is accomplished through direct social service, partnership, and advocacy.

Ten Yad of Ottawa has a specific mandate: to address the needs of an individual or family faced with an acute situation. Offering a variety of services, Ten Yad provide support to families in need, stocked kosher pantries in Ottawa hospitals, bikkur cholim, holiday and shabbat transportation to hospitals (not ambulance worthy), tehilim recitation. The Ottawa Kosher Food Bank (OKFB), which is located inside of Kehillat Beth Israel synagogue, 1400 Coldrey Ave, Ottawa, is dedicated to providing Kosher food to Ottawa families who are in need.
