Congregation Beit Tikvah of Ottawa

At the center of the Craig Henry and Centrepointe neighborhoods, Congregation Beit Tikvah of Ottawa (CBTO) is the area’s beacon of Jewish life. Beit Tikvah is a friendly and welcoming Modern Orthodox congregation which prides itself in its commitments to Jewish communal life and the State of Israel. Beit Tikvah is currently led by Interim Rabbi, Rabbi Zisha Shaps, an Ottawa community leader and founder of Ottawa’s Jewish Education through Torah (JET).  Rabbi Shaps is an engaging Jewish educator who shares his passion for Judaism with the entire community.  As leader of JET, he has built deep relationships throughout the Ottawa Jewish community with people of all backgrounds, walks of life, and levels of observance.

Beit Tikvah is excited to offer daily minyanim, regular classes of all styles and for people of all backgrounds, and engaging programming for all ages. Featuring guest speakers, social and educational events and brunches, and a range of children’s activities, Beit Tikvah engages all members of our community to be a part of something enriching and spectacular.
